GETTING AROUND – Transport Options

Transport in Adelaide can be done many ways: trams, busses, push bikes (for those brave enough in the middle of winter), taxis or uber.

There are 2 free travel zones in the middle of the CBD, and tickets can be purchased for travel outside these zones.

Adelaide has a “visitor pass” which is unlimited travel for 3 consecutive days, on all bus, train and tram services – and costs just $26.90.

Adelaide utilises a “metro card” system (similar to the Opal, Go Card and Myki systems in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne). They can be purchased from information centres, at ticket vending machines or at one of the hundreds of metro card outlets around the city.
