Transport

Transport in Adelaide can be done many ways: trams, buses, push bikes (for those brave enough in the middle of winter), taxis or uber.

Public Transport

There are 2 free travel zones in the middle of the CBD, and tickets can be purchased for travel outside these zones.

Adelaide has a Visitor Pass which is unlimited travel for 3 consecutive days, on all bus, train and tram services – and costs just $26.90.

Adelaide utilises a “metro card” system (similar to the Opal, Go Card and Myki systems in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne). They can be purchased from information centres, at ticket vending machines or at one of the hundreds of metro card outlets around the city.

Car Hire

Thinking about Hiring a Car for your stay? Contact Bianca Riddle – she can help you find the best rates and car most suitable for your needs. She has competitive rates – i.e. a Toyota Yaris for 2 day hire (9am-6pm), would cost you just $126!

Airport Transport

It's about a 15 minute drive from the airport to the CBD. (If you're not hiring a car, you may be able to get a lift from the airport, just tick the relevant option when you register for the weekend.)

Taxi's and Uber are available at the airport - an Uber to the CBD should be about $15-20.

Adelaide Metro Bus offer "JetExpress" a double decker express bus to the city, as well as JetBus (a somewhat more standard bus which also goes to the city). You can purchase tickets from the driver, or from vending machines in the airport. More details...
